Rachel Shlomov, O.D.
Rachel Shlomov, OD is a board-certified optometrist in the states of Florida and New York. She was born and raised in New York City where she achieved her Bachelor of Arts degree at Hunter College. Dr. Shlomov worked closely with retinal and glaucoma specialists for two years in Brooklyn, New York where she learned about ocular disease and how it disproportionately affects disadvantaged communities.
Dr. Shlomov went on to pursue her second Bachelor of Vision Science degree and Doctor of Optometry degree at NOVA Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During her fourth year of optometry school, Dr. Shlomov completed her externships at Braverman Eye Center with a focus in ocular disease and South Florida Vision with a focus in primary eye care. Her internships at NOVA Southeastern University focused on specialty contact lens and dry eye.
Dr. Shlomov practices full scope optometry with a special interest in dry eye and ocular surface disease. She is committed to making a positive impact on each of her patients by helping them achieve their best vision and quality of life. Dr. Shlomov is fluent in English and Russian.
