Marlene Machado, PA-C is a licensed and board-certified Physician Assistant with training in internal medicine and ophthalmology. She is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Ms. Machado earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University. She holds active certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensure in the state of Florida. 

She began her career in internal medicine, providing comprehensive care for geriatric patients and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Ms. Machado has joined American Vision Group, where she provides ophthalmic care including post-operative management, minor procedures such as Prokera placement and punctal plug occlusion, and the treatment of conditions such as dry eye, blepharitis, chalazion, corneal abrasion, conjunctivitis, and glaucoma.

She is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to provide care to a diverse patient population. 

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, going to the beach, and traveling.
